guidelines for course participants
- Jambalaya Spirit Works, Part One is the first course of a three-part series that will progress every season during the year.
- This course is open for women of natal birth. Men are referred to the Isokan group.
- Participants are required to complete all assignments.
- Homework assignments are both written( reports) and oral (presentations)and include self-assessments and course evaluations.
- Required texts are Jambalaya and Festival of the Bones Volume I available for purchase directly through the author, Yeye Luisah Teish.
- A recommended reading list will be provided.
- Participants are highly encouraged to attend at least two real time gatherings with the instructor or designated leader. Several options for real time meetings in various locations and with a variety of subjects focus will be provided for students enrolled in the course.
