JAMBALAYA School Of Ancient Mysteries & Sacred Arts Center will be a gathering-healing-learning space in the Bay Area, California, founded by YeYe Luisah Teish, co-created lovingly with her personal community–the Ilé Orunmila Oshun. Brought to life with/by/for cultural workers, locally & globally, with a special focus on the African Diaspora. School for Spiritual Activism & Healing Arts will be the first of its kind, a center for justice and right relationships with each other and Mother Earth. We are raising $5M in funds to purchase a home and 5 acres of land to establish the JAMBALAYA School of Ancient Mysteries & Sacred Arts Center.

Overview:
Storytelling is the grandmother of the church, the school, and the theater. Our Ancestors defined the Sacred, explained our origins and recounted the history of our lineages through vibrant story sharing. These stories help us to claim our inheritance, to incorporate the wisdom of the Ancestors into our daily activity, and to carry that power into the future.
We will use both objective (discovery/lineage research) and subjective (recovery/spirit messages, dreams) for “remembering” the stories of the Ancestors. Participants are encouraged to research their own bio-cultural inheritance, as well as an “Affinity Culture” that you deeply resonate with.
The practical applications of Ancestor Reverence include guidance, protection, and healing, which are so important in this time of the infectious pandemics of disease, war, racism, poverty, and environmental degradation. Stories recounting the power of the Ancestors to intervene in these difficulties will inspire resilience.
Reverence practices include the construction of sacred spaces in the home (Ancestor Altars), acknowledging Holy ground in Nature, (forest/cemetery) and visiting Sacred Sites (such as Congo Square, Goddess Temples, Goree Island, and others around the world).
The Ancestral Line Visualization reconnects us with the surviving consciousness of the Ancestors. Suggestions for clarifying our dreams can help us to understand their messages, and we embody those messages through the creation of invocations, chants, music, art, and writing.
This series employs film/video of myths, rituals, sacred arts and crafts, and performance. Students have access to an Online Classroom to upload information, share their experiences & cultivate community.
It includes 6-Moon Rituals & 2-Fire Ceremonies, corresponding to precise astrological influences guided by Shamanic Astrologer, Kelly M Beard of KarmicTools.com.

This class is open exclusively to those who completed Cracking the Ancestral Code – Level ONE last year (2023).
We will begin with a review of our work in Level ONE. And reinforce our relationship with the elevated ancestors (bio-cultural/affinity) to ensure their assistance in our present work. After we take stock of our physical and emotional states, we will discuss the most effective ways to move forward. Recommended Reading, Videos and Community Events will be determined at this time.
We will gather information (ancestry/family stories) and contemplate the conditions (socio-political) that define the profile of a Category Two or B-List Ancestor. We will make a list of the names of those who need/request/require healing and elevation. We will unpack the effect of their wounding on our lives through grief work. After we place ourselves in a protective energy field we will engage in healing processes.
The healing processes include such practices as meditations in nature, water-gazing, cemetery visits, communication through the use of oracles, cleansing rituals of release/forgiveness, empowerment( offerings) and the works of art based on ancestral inspiration.
Telling the stories of their lives with better understanding of their actions, will liberate us from the effects of their wounding and enable us to take advantage of the gifts we have inherited from them.
This will culminate in an Winter Solstice Celebration, an elevation of their legacy through story sharing.

9/17 :: PISCES Super/Full Moon-Lunar Eclipse (#1 of 7)
Just a reminder here that we are going through Super Moons in 2024 that fall in Aquarius, Pisces & Aries and 6-months from now, we will Initiate some very clean, new slates with Super Moons that fall in Aries, Taurus & Gemini and the evolution continues and begins to bring that intensity to new departments of life. This one coincides with the first in a series of 7-Eclipses that fall on the Virgo/Pisces Axis. 6-of-7 are Full Moon/Lunar Eclipses which means we are going to experience some major endings, completions & clearings that have to do with our daily physical & spiritual practices – how we manage our lives and operate in our day-to-day rhythms. We are at the end of an era in so many ways – on so many levels. These Eclipses make it personal and require us to make changes on a very individual basis – but that micro is connected to the macro levels too.

This Fall is facilitating a clearing that, if we do it on the front-end, then we will be greatly supported on the back-end when we go to initiate anew. The final Full Moon in the final Sign is an annual completion but the Eclipses activate a bigger 20-year cycle that we need to consider. We are finishing one cycle and preparing to initiate a new cycle. So everything we are going to release on a personal, annual basis needs to be run through the lens of the larger cycles that are in play within & around us.
The PISCES Full Moon is best for releasing illusions & delusions, any ways we’ve been unrealistic lately. It’s also the best Full Moon to release: self-sabotage, compulsiveness, addiction, martyrdom & victim consciousness to name a few. The Full Moon is illuminating where we may have to be more practical & present. This is a purification time of year, so healthy boundaries are vital as you integrate the year and assimilate your own personal Harvest for 2024. Allow your Imagination some space to connect to those *creative solutions* that are customized just for you and renew your connection to both a spiritual & physical daily practice. This is not new, or news to you I’m sure, but even if you have been the most dedicated and consistent ever, every year, this is an opportunity to freshen up the practice so you are more inspired & uplifted. The energy this month supports you assessing your strengths and weaknesses and re-committing to balancing your soul-work (Pisces) with your daily work (Virgo); allowing the fragmented aspects (Virgo) of life to come into a cohesive whole (Pisces); and focusing on the little things (Virgo) that make the grand vision of your life possible (Pisces). With the rapid pace that this world is shifting, your time is much better spent on that which you deeply and truly value … not narcotized or distracted by nonsense & propaganda, nor giving into emotional overwhelm or irrational fears. Instead of deluding yourself, delaying your decisions or taking time-outs with your phone, computer, TV (or the like) – try to take some time to sit with your Higher Self in silent communion. Allow a conversation to evolve between your Self and Great Spirit. Intuition is like a muscle, you have to work it to gain strength. Harvest Time ~ Rhythm is a beautiful thing! Taking some time at the turn of each Season notifies the Universe that you are ready, willing and able to co-create with Mother Earth & Father Sky. Fall Equinox is the time of year to bring all your projects to a close, finish whatever you can and start looking toward new projects. Balance & Integrate what is working and release the rest. If you willingly (and lovingly) release that which is not working, the next Season will go a lot smoother when you go to truly close the year in preparation for a new Solar year. Harvest is about assessing & gathering all that you’ve created for the year, and ultimately, reaping the rewards of all your hard work and labor. Some of your *Harvest* will be tangible, creative projects that can & will bear fruit now that they are complete, stable or in place … and some of your *Harvest* will be intangible, in that, you have further cultivated your own Being over the last year and now you (and others) can benefit from your personal integration, individual gifts & evolved consciousness. Align with your Higher Self & expand your goals for the coming season – think bigger! Fall Equinox is a time of balance, a time of balance between Light & Shadow and takes us from movement out in the world, to more inner, “work with what you’ve got” energy, using your resources & creations to build on & expand, primarily behind the scenes in preparation for Spring Initiation, 6-months from now. Libra is the Sign of the Season and is Ruled by Venus, which reminds us that *ALL Life* is inextricably connected. Any imbalances affect all life (eventually). As living, conscious Beings, we strive for balance in all that we think, feel, say and do. You can access your inner-Libra and re-center, so that you are more effective in your Being-ness and more useful to Life in general.
